Denmark’s first report about the digital skills gap
Published: March 6, 2020
On March 6, 2020, Digital Dogme launched the Digital Competence Barometer 2020.
The barometer is developed in collaboration with the socio-economic consultancy HBS Economics and is updated every year.
If Denmark is to maintain its digital leadership position, massive and sustained efforts are needed to make Denmark the most digitally competent society in the world.
Employees are the most important raw material. They are the ones who will lead the digital revolution and develop the products and services that will create digital growth and prosperity for the benefit of all of us. This applies to all kinds of employees – from reception to highly specialized IT staff.
At the conference, we made a list of the challenges and launched the Digital Competence Barometer 2020. The participants had the opportunity to meet the founding members, hear more about Digital Dogme and participate in the debate on how we can create a more digitally competent Denmark together.
Analyzes of digital skill needs and labor shortages have so far tended to focus on digital specialists.
However, it is a common misconception that digital competencies only deal with digital specialists.
In collaboration with Digital Dogme, HBS Economics has prepared the Digital Competence Barometer 2020, which outlines the societal challenge that Digital Dogme contributes to solving.

Digital Dogme is funded by The Danish Industry Foundation
