AI shapes the future labor market for the members of the Danish Insurance Association
AI is developing rapidly – and that requires strong digital skills. That’s why the Danish Insurance Federation (Forsikringsforbundet) has joined the AI Competence Pact as a partner, to promote the responsible use of technology and ensure that its development benefits members, businesses, and society as a whole.
“The AI Competence Pact’s values – inclusion for all, focus on job satisfaction, and responsible use of AI – align perfectly with the Federation’s mission to ensure sustainable working lives for our members,” says Lars P. Øelund Helvard. “AI can be a tool that helps achieve exactly that. At the same time, we believe its use must be responsible, with a clear understanding that AI should work for people – not the other way around.”
Upskilling must include the entire workforce – not just specialists, but also managers, employees, and decision-makers. To ensure responsible implementation, AI must be both accessible and relevant to everyone, and competence development is the key to achieving that.
We aim to focus on the AI skills of the future in step with developments in technology and the labour market. We are part of the initiative that promotes diversity in AI – ensuring that the technology benefits everyone, regardless of gender, age, background, or ability. The goal is to identify biases, promote inclusion, and ensure upskilling with an eye toward diversity.
Through its partnership in the AI Competence Pact, the Danish Insurance Federation helps future-proof its members’ skills and labour market value in a time of increasing use of artificial intelligence. At the same time, the Federation contributes new knowledge, networks, and access to relevant upskilling programmes that support a responsible and inclusive use of AI.
